At CT Hosting, we strive to deliver high-quality hosting and domain services that meet the needs of individuals, businesses and developers. This Refund Policy outlines the circumstances under which you may be eligible for a refund and the process for requesting one.
By using our services, you agree to this Refund Policy in conjunction with our Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy.
1. General Policy
Due to the nature of digital services, not all products or services are eligible for refunds. Refunds will only be issued in accordance with the conditions outlined below.
2. Hosting Services
CT Hosting offers a 7-day money-back guarantee on new shared hosting services only.
To be eligible:
- The request must be made within 7 days of the initial account activation
- The service must be a first-time purchase (not a renewal or upgrade)
- The account must not have breached our Acceptable Use Policy or caused server issues
Refunds will not be granted if:
- The request falls outside the 7-day window
- The account has been suspended or terminated due to policy violation
- The hosting plan has been used to host abusive, illegal, or resource-heavy content
3. Domain Name Registrations
Domain registration, renewal, and transfer fees are non-refundable under any circumstances, including:
- Incorrect domain name choice
- Change of mind
- Failure to meet eligibility requirements for .com.au, .org.au or other TLDs
This is due to the real-time nature of domain provisioning and the irrevocable process involved.
4. Add-ons, Licences & SSL Certificates
Licences, software add-ons, SSL certificates and third-party services are non-refundable once provisioned, unless required under Australian Consumer Law.
5. Service Credits Instead of Refunds
Where appropriate, and at our discretion, CT Hosting may offer service credits (account balance) instead of a cash refund. This is more likely when:
- A minor service fault or delay has occurred
- Refund falls outside the guarantee period
- Refund is requested on recurring billing where partial use has occurred
6. Refund Process
To request a refund:
- Contact us within the applicable timeframe
- Include your full name, account email, service ID and reason for the request
We will assess eligibility and respond within 3 business days
Approved refunds will be processed to your original payment method within 7–10 business days.
7. Australian Consumer Law
This policy does not limit your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). You are entitled to a replacement, repair or refund if a service is not delivered with due care and skill or fails to meet the expectations of a reasonable consumer.
If a fault is proven and cannot be fixed in a reasonable time, we will comply with our obligations under Australian law.
